I've been running r/onlyfansadvice and r/creatorsadvice for a long time now, but honestly, I can't do it all anymore. Several of our mod team have left the industry or are taking a break - the burnout is real, and I get it completely. How Can I Become a Subreddit Moderator?

It starts with sending me a direct message or chat request with a little bit about yourself. But before you do, check whether you fit what we're looking for, because there's a specific profile of person who works well as a moderator in these communities.

First, you need to be regularly active on Reddit. These subs don't run themselves, and someone who checks in once every couple of weeks isn't going to be much help. Second, you need to have worked as a creator in front of the camera on OnlyFans or another adult site for at least one year. That experience matters - you can't moderate a creator community effectively if you don't understand what creators actually deal with day to day.

You should also be familiar with these particular subreddits and have a history of posting here. We're not looking for outsiders; we're looking for people who are genuinely part of the community already. That's also why agency affiliation matters: if you have links to agencies or similar businesses, there's a potential conflict of interest, so those applications won't work for us.

Some moderating experience helps but isn't essential - I'd rather have someone reliable and invested than someone experienced but detached. Finally, you need to be open to chatting on Discord with the rest of the team, because running these communities is genuinely a collaborative effort.

The short answer: the current team is stretched thin.
